SAP Platform & Core

SAP Business Technology Platform.

SAP Business Technology Platform is the overarching umbrella that brings together Integration, Data & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Application Development & Automation. MYGO's approach of API-first architecture combined with our accelerators positions us to deliver BTP projects in the shortest time with maximum ROI.

SAP Business Technology Platform

SAP BTP: the foundation platform to maximize your SAP ROI

SAP Business Technology Platform is the overarching umbrella that brings together four pillars: Integration (from the early XI days through PI, PO, CPI, HCI, and now Integration Suite, the technology has evolved with every iteration), Data & Analytics (including Datasphere as the latest evolution for streamlined data management), Artificial Intelligence (AI services that enable chatbots, voice-activated systems, and machine learning models), and Application Development & Automation (modern programming practices from traditional ABAP to JavaScript frameworks, Kubernetes containers, and CI/CD pipelines).

MYGO's BTP practice combines an API-first architecture philosophy with pre-built accelerators to deliver BTP projects in compressed timelines. Whether you are migrating from PI/PO to Integration Suite, building custom Fiori applications, deploying chatbots for enterprise use cases, or establishing a Datasphere-powered analytics layer, our engineering teams bring hands-on experience from dozens of implementations across small, medium, and large organizations.

Core Capabilities

  • SAP Integration Suite design and implementation (successor to PI/PO/CPI/HCI)
  • SAP Datasphere deployment for streamlined enterprise data management
  • AI services on BTP: chatbots, voice-activated response systems, and ML models
  • Application development on BTP: ABAP Cloud, JavaScript frameworks, Kubernetes, CI/CD
  • API-first architecture design and API management
  • SAP Build Apps for low-code/no-code application development
  • Event-driven integration with SAP Event Mesh
  • RPA strategy and implementation on BTP
  • Hyperscaler strategy (AWS, Azure, GCP) with BTP

Challenges & Solutions

Problems We Solve.

warningCommon Challenges

warning

Integration Spaghetti

Point-to-point connections between SAP and external systems create a fragile integration landscape that is expensive to maintain and difficult to monitor.

warning

Core Modifications Blocking Upgrades

Custom ABAP code and user exits embedded in the S/4HANA core prevent system upgrades and increase the cost and risk of applying support packages.

warning

Limited API Exposure

Business partners, digital channels, and internal applications cannot access SAP data and processes because APIs are either unavailable or undocumented.

warning

Shadow IT and Unmanaged Extensions

Business units build workarounds in spreadsheets and standalone tools because the SAP system does not support their specific process requirements.

warning

BTP Cost Overruns

Uncontrolled provisioning of BTP services, unused entitlements, and over-sized service plans drive cloud costs higher without delivering proportional business value.

check_circleMYGO's Approach

check_circle

BTP Advisory Workshop

Our 1-week exploratory workshop with BTP experts discovers potential opportunities based on your SAP ecosystem and creates multiple journey paths. Outcomes include User Experience Strategy, Launchpad Strategy, Integration Strategy, DevOps Strategy, RPA Strategy, and Hyperscaler Strategy.

check_circle

Hub-and-Spoke Integration Architecture

Replace point-to-point connections with a centralized integration layer using SAP Integration Suite, with monitoring, error handling, and reusable integration patterns.

check_circle

Clean-Core Extension Strategy

Migrate custom code out of the S/4HANA core into side-by-side extensions on BTP, using APIs and events to maintain loose coupling and upgrade safety.

check_circle

API Management Layer

Expose SAP business objects and processes through managed APIs with rate limiting, versioning, developer portal access, and consumption analytics.

check_circle

BTP FinOps Practice

Implement cost monitoring dashboards, right-size service plans, and establish consumption budgets to keep BTP spending aligned with business value delivery.

Implementation Process

Our Process.

01

Explore

Align on high-level objectives. Identify the required audience and finalize the schedule and topics. Explore areas of interest via survey and stakeholder interviews.

02

Discover

Discover the business drivers, IT drivers, and technology enablers. Conduct breakout sessions covering data location and sub-account strategy, user experience, launchpad strategy, cloud connector, integration strategy, RPA strategy, development decision tree, and hyperscaler strategy.

03

Analyze

Convert ideas from breakout sessions into tactical executable strategy frameworks. Prioritize use cases by business impact and technical feasibility.

04

Operationalize

Present the final readout and identify next steps. Work with your teams to operationalize the use cases using our Design, Build, and Test methodology in Agile two-week sprints.

05

Scale & Optimize

Transition to steady-state operations with monitoring, cost optimization, and continuous improvement. Expand BTP adoption across additional use cases and business units.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions.

ABAP Cloud runs inside the S/4HANA stack using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming model. It is ideal for extensions that need direct access to S/4HANA data and transactional logic. Side-by-side extensions run on BTP (Cloud Foundry or Kyma) as independent applications that communicate with S/4HANA through APIs and events. Side-by-side is better for extensions with their own data model, external integrations, or non-ABAP technology requirements.

SAP Integration Suite offers native connectivity to SAP systems with pre-built adapters and content packages, reducing development effort for SAP-centric scenarios. It also includes API Management, Event Mesh, and Trading Partner Management in a unified platform. Third-party platforms may offer broader non-SAP connectivity or specific features, but add licensing cost and require SAP connector maintenance. We evaluate trade-offs for each client and often recommend a hybrid approach.

Yes, we have a structured migration methodology for PI/PO to Cloud Integration. This includes automated interface assessment with SAP's Migration Assessment tool, semi-automated migration of ICOs to iFlows, and manual optimization. We prioritize interfaces by business criticality and run parallel operations during transition.

We configure SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) as the identity provider for BTP applications, with federation to your corporate IdP (Azure AD, Okta, etc.). This provides SSO across SAP and BTP applications with centralized user lifecycle management. For API consumers, we implement OAuth 2.0 client credentials or JWT bearer flows.

We recommend a hub-and-spoke subaccount structure with a central governance subaccount for shared services and dedicated subaccounts per project or department. Entitlement distribution, naming conventions, and resource quotas are managed through a central platform team. New extension requests follow an intake process that evaluates business justification, architecture alignment, and cost impact.

A focused integration project with 5-10 interfaces typically takes 8-12 weeks from architecture through production deployment. Complex programs involving custom app development, event-driven architectures, or large-scale PI/PO migrations may run 4-6 months. We deliver working integrations incrementally so the business sees value within the first few sprints.
