SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is an integrated solution that manages all data, processes, and stakeholders involved in a product’s lifecycle: from initial concept and formula development through manufacturing, distribution, and end-of-life. For process industries, SAP PLM provides specialized capabilities for recipe and formula management, raw material and finished goods specifications, regulatory compliance tracking, and engineering change management, all integrated with SAP S/4HANA’s production planning and quality management modules.

The primary data objects are material specifications, recipes and formulas, substance data, and engineering documents.
